Equipped with an Electronically Controlled Brake system, the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE combines standard braking with regenerative braking which recovers braking energy to recharge the battery so you never have to plug in. The result is improved safety and improved efficiency. As well, a Hill-start Assist Control helps keep the 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE from sliding back when you release the brake and apply the accelerator when starting on slopes, (driver activated). The ECB system controls standard braking and Hill-start Assist Control along with the Anti-lock Brake System, Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control, Brake Assist, all features of Toyota's Star Safety System.
